Australian Patent Attorney, Mark Summerfield, runs a well-regarded Patent & IP blog site, Patentology (http://blog.patentology.com.au/). As you would expect, it has an Australian bias, but he also reflects on IP globally.
Mark’s latest post provides some food for thought when it comes to collaborating on invention. After scouring the US Patent & Trademarks Office database, he has found that collaborative invention is more successful than inventing in isolation – at least when the metric is number of granted US patents (//blog.patentology.com.au/2017/01/the-most-prolific-inventors-of-past-25.html).
We at Xinova have a similar tale to tell. When we look at the Solution Report submissions we have selected, a higher proportion has come from inventor collaborations. If you’re inventing for us on your own and looking for someone to invent with, Xinova’s inventor portal (https://network.xinova.com) is a great place to meet other inventors. You can always contact us as well and we can help get you in contact with like minded brains trusts.
