Xinova seeks a review of pre-commercial and commercial aftermarket sensor solutions for measuring the structural health of wind turbine blade during use.

Of particular interest are coatings or ‘skins’ that can be added to a wind turbine blade post-manufacture, which would collect and broadcast information on accrued damage to enable data-based decisions on blade maintenance. This opportunity will close once the position is filled.

 

Requirements

  • Knowledge of sensors systems, including design, power, operation, and reliability in use.
  • Experience with condition-based maintenance and/or with wind energy are helpful but not required
  • Fluency in English
  • Strong skills in technical writing, particularly for business stakeholders
  • Available for 10-15 hours to complete this review

 

Deliverable & Payment

A report, in a format provided by Xinova, which provides the review described. The report will be sent via email to sludwig@xinova.com in a Word doc format, due within 1 week of signing the SOW. The selected applicant will receive a payment of $1,500 on completion of this task.
