Xinova is seeking four innovators to collaborate in a rapid innovation session (RIS) coordinated by a Xinova facilitator.

 

Opportunity Details

This project will encompass both exploring the existing technical landscape and generating novel technical solutions.

The session will run from February 17th, 2020 to April 17th, 2020.

Summary

Hydrogen is an alternative transportation fuel due to its ability to power fuel cells in zero-emission electric vehicles. While both government and industry have been working toward the adoption of clean, economical, and safe hydrogen fuels for transportation, the deployment of fueling stations plays a critical role in the hydrogen infrastructure. The current key challenge at hydrogen fueling stations is the “freezing lock” that occurs between the nozzle and the vehicle during the filling process at the relatively low operating temperature.

What we are looking for

We are looking for individuals with experience in one or more of the following topics:
  • Mechanical engineering: specifically, thermal dynamics
  • Material science
  • Aeronautical & Astronautical engineering
  • Anti-icing coating
  • Mechanical design for applications operating at subzero temperature
