Xinova seeks the disclosure of algorithms that model people and tasks and can match an appropriate person with a suitable task.
How can Xinova better support its members in our collective efforts to deliver value to our customers? Making sure we align the right people to an opportunity is key to ensuring the success of our network and its ability to deliver the best solutions
to meet our customers’ needs. As a member of the Xinova network this RFI represents your first opportunity to have a direct impact on improving this network’s effectiveness.
The current algorithm for matching people with tasks searches the Xinova network and global patent databases to identify suitable people. These searches rely on internal users being highly knowledgeable of the relevant key words.
However, there are numerous other existing sources of valuable data, such as Twitter and social network websites that could be used to aid in matching people with tasks. Additionally, as Xinova expands our focus beyond just patentable ideas to technology applications, commercialization, and other activities that brings innovation to market, the lexicon of keywords could expand to include commercialization, product development, and business development as examples.
Xinova needs new algorithms to search through both internal and external sources of structured and unstructured data to find and properly match people to tasks. Keeping in mind, that the 10,000 people currently in our network may not represent the full set of those people best suited to work on those tasks.
