Our Process
Develop the critical technical advancements to support your business with patent protection. Working in close collaboration with our clients, Xinova’s team:
- Defines, analyzes and frames the innovation challenge within its surrounding opportunity space
- Identifies key technical challenges requiring solutions, and provides comprehensive specifications to focus invention
- Engages our global network of inventors to develop a diverse set of possible technical solutions and based on our Rapid Innovation Session process.
- Analyzes these possible solutions for technical and commercial feasibility and viability and recommends only inventions with the best potential for patenting, development, and possible commercialization
Our clients participate throughout the process to guide the invention process to focus on practical solutions that drive their next generation of products, features and improvements. The process typically takes four to six months with key milestones every two months.
The RFI is designed to help companies fill gaps in expertise and amplify their own ability to innovate. This is partly a question of focusing the brightest minds onto industry’s greatest challenges. But it’s also a matter of solid communication practices and project management skills that ensure project transitions are smooth and handoffs are not fumbled.
