Masanobu Katoh

Masanobu Katoh - Executive Vice President, Head of Japan | Xinova

Masanobu Katoh is Japan Executive Vice President and Country Head of Xinova, building invention programs for Japan’s leading companies. Prior to transition to Xinova, Katoh spent six years at Intellectual Ventures (IV), managing all of the company’s activities in Japan with focus on the Invention Development Fund.

Before joining IV, Katoh spent more than thirty years at Fujitsu. His various posts included heading Fujitsu’s IP and Legal Groups, Chairman and CEO of Fujitsu Management Services of America (in Silicon Valley), SVP of Fujitsu Laboratories, and EVP of the Fujitsu Research Institute. 

He received his Bachelors of Law degree at the University of Tokyo and Masters of Law degree from the University of Michigan Law School. He is a member of the Washington D.C. and New York bars.
