Great news! Xinova debuted in March at number 81 on the GeekWire 200, a ranked list of Pacific Northwest Tech Company Startups. We are thrilled to be recognized along with so many local exemplary innovators and entrepreneurs. Together, we are helping fuel Washington state’s rise to the top of innovation. As Kaj Pedersen reports in his excellent article, Gold: Seattle’s Once and Future Element of Innovation, the Klondike gold rush imbued Seattle with an entrepreneurial spirit that has propelled one innovation inflection point after another in Seattle, including the current tech boom driven by Xinova and the rest of the GeekWire 200.
GeekWire has its finger on the pulse of innovation, and Washington state is rapidly climbing the ranks, holding the number two spot in the most innovative state category. According to GeekWire, “The 2019 Most & Least Innovative States report compared the 50 states and the District of Columbia across 24 key metrics in two dimensions, “Human Capital” and “Innovation Environment.” Washington ranked second overall behind only Massachusetts. As HR Director, Nicole Underwood writes, Xinova has built a special culture to support the rapid growth for which we are now being recognized, a particularly challenging feat for a globally dispersed company executing a unique mission. Indeed, we would not have gotten to this point without contributions from Xinovians across the planet.
GeekWire 200 is a ranked index of Pacific Northwest startups using publicly available data to identify the tech companies most popular and trending among key online communities. The ranking is generated each month from GeekWire’s Startup List, a comprehensive directory of the region’s tech startups.
It’s a true honor to make this list, which recognizes innovation excellence in this special place, the Pacific Northwest. However, with Xinova’s introduction of the world’s first and only market network for innovation, we are shaping a future where geography matters less when solving big problems; we’ve created a dynamic and expanding platform where great ideas can be tapped and curated from anywhere, on-demand.
Innovation thrives on the unimpeded exchange of ideas, talent, and capital. The global scale and the complexity of this exchange have disrupted traditional models of innovation, resulting in a fundamental misalignment of the four key pillars of innovation—technology, talent, demand, and capital. We leverage the power of our global network to connect the toughest problems with the smartest minds and best resources. This opens up the path to end-to-end innovation that moves companies from idea to product on-shelf faster and with more return. We’re allowing innovation to be globally dispersed. And we’re proud to drive this mission from Seattle.
