Innovation is the life-blood of Xinova’s mission and its innovators who breathe life into that mission. In that vein, it’s our honor to share that Fast Company has named Xinova a Best Workplace for Innovators.
Developed in collaboration with Accenture, the 2019 Best Workplaces for Innovators showcases 50 winners from a variety of industries, including biotech, consumer packaged goods, financial services, cybersecurity, and engineering. Working together, Fast Company editors and Accenture researchers scored all 362 applications, and a panel of eight eminent judges reviewed and endorsed the top 50 companies. The 2019 awards feature workplaces from around the world, and 8 of the honorees are based outside the U.S. Read more about the award here
The world has never had better tools to innovate and we’ve never had greater need. At its heart, Xinova is about amplifying the impact of innovation for all people so we can build a better world.”
-Edward Jung, founder and CEO, Xinova
To serve this mission we have designed a culture for innovators, by innovators. Led by Edward Jung, one of history’s top-12 inventors, Xinova has the most diverse and accomplished innovation team in the world. Our executive team of thought leaders, problem solvers, and innovators have achieved historic accomplishments in their careers earning positions such as CEO, EVP, or Managing Director with multinationals like Shell, Nokia, Xerox, Microsoft, United Technologies, Dupont, Intel, and HP. Combined, they have raised and managed billions in invested capital.
Xinova team members boast impeccable credentials in science, entrepreneurship, invention, and R&D. More than 20 Xinova employees hold doctorate degrees, providing expertise in nuclear physics, materials science, biomedical engineering, computer science, biophysical chemistry, theoretical physics, and AI. This team has led over 300 licensing deals, managed over $9 billion in licensing transactions, defined over 400 distinct problems, and given companies like PepsiCo, Funai, Honda, and others access to thousands of solutions which we have selected and developed into prototypes and product ready propositions.
In addition to this team, Xinova’s smart and trusted network of highly-credentialed and curated innovators across 118 countries participate in solving innovation challenges, creating solutions and engaging in commercialization. Xinova network innovators hold an average of 9 patents each and together we have delivered more than 5,400 commercial assets, 18,000 solutions and $260 million in startup funding.
It is through this diversity that we mold our company’s culture, “Culture doesn’t generate from one person or one department. It’s a collective. It’s an experience. What I love about Xinova is everyone has actively engaged in how to define our culture and what it means to work here. The genuine spirit of culture comes from and is shaped by employees who engage to help it come alive.” Nicole Underwood, Director of HR, Xinova.
