Jorma Ollila
Executive Chairman
Jorma serves as Executive Chairman. Prior to his involvement with Xinova, he served as CEO (1992 – 2006) and Chairman (1999 – 2012) of Nokia Corporation where he led the strategy that restructured the company into one of the major players in the mobile phone and telecommunications infrastructure markets. He also served as Chairman of Royal Dutch Shell plc (2006-2015) and Chairman of Outokumpu (2013-2018) – Global leader in stainless steel.
Jorma is Chairman of the Board of Directors of Outokumpu Oyj and Miltton Oy, positions he has held since March 2013 and June 2015, respectively. He is also Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of Otava Books and Magazines, a member of the board of directors of Tetra Laval Group and the University of Helsinki, and Chairman of the Boards of Directors and the Supervisory Boards of The Research Institute of the Finnish Economy ETLA and Finnish Business and Policy Forum. In addition, Jorma was Chairman of the European Round Table of Industrialists from 2005 to 2009.
He obtained a Master of Political Science from University of Helsinki, a Master of Science (Economics) from London School of Economics and a Master of Science (Technology) in Engineering Physics from Helsinki University of Technology. In 2003, he was elected an honorary fellow of the London School of Economics, and was awarded honorary membership of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE). He also received honorary doctorates from the University of Helsinki, Helsinki University of Technology and the University of Vaasa.
