I’ve been working for Xinova in its previous incarnations for seven years and it’s really given me some great opportunities to work in pure innovation, which I would not have been able to do any other way.”
– Ben Millar, Xinova Innovator
In 2018, Xinova turned the idea of innovation around on ourselves. First, we overhauled our innovator contracts to truly reflect our mission of shared-upside for co-innovation projects. Then, we expanded the concept of the RFI to the RFx, including requests for application, technology, solutions… We even moved beyond the RFI model to develop a suite of new offerings under the heading of Innovation Banking. All the while, we’ve been re-inventing Xinova into a platform-enabled market network. It’s been challenging, and deeply rewarding.
Our mission has never been so focused and your place on that mission has never been clearer. Every successful project within an innovation market network requires a confluence of talent (you), demand (a buyer), technology (yours and others), and capital (funds, and perhaps time). We are aligning those four pillars of innovation in order to de-risk and unblock it.
You have the gift of innovation. To better share that gift with the world, the Xinova platform was re-written from the ground up, replacing over a million lines of code with barely 50,000. It was a testament to our team’s thoughtful design approach, which included nearly 100 interviews with network members. With the platform, Xinova’s foundation is re-architected as a product company. Our scope of offerings within the innovation space will consequently expand, with each product supported by a range of technologies and people. It’s a gift of innovation that will keep on giving. Happy holidays.
While learning about (a new problem), you look for places you can implement the principles and techniques and designs you know from other fields in any way you can, in any combination. There’s always something that can be done.”
