We expanded to new markets around the world, built a more robust and improved network platform, doubled our company size by hiring a diverse mix of talented teammates, and developed an amazing culture!
Growing so rapidly in 2018 was a remarkable accomplishment that challenged and bettered Xinova as a company. However, none of this could have been done without our amazing team. Through each person’s drive and determination to make Xinova a welcoming, caring, and innovative environment, we have been able to hit new peaks. Each employee is an integral part of our culture and it makes us proud to work with each other every day.
Growth has undermined many great companies, but our environment of trust, autonomy, and transparency kept Xinova on the right track. We continue to emphasize and focus on these values in the new year.
Trust. We expect employees to continually improve their work and Xinova, trusting them to work with each other to improve in any way possible. Where someone sees a gap, they take charge. For example, our team organically built a women’s group and a “honeybee” recognition program to show appreciation for our teammates in other departments. Xinova also created a “self-managed” time off policy, where we expect our employees to take the time they need to refresh and recharge while balancing the needs of their role and its impact on the company.
Autonomy. We’ve built a flexible, global and diverse workforce, allowing employees to work as they see fit. We are proud to say the majority of our employees choose to come into the office because they want to work with each other.
Transparency. A key part that ensures our employees are aware of our direction and planning. Every bi-weekly leadership meeting is recorded and shared with the entire organization. Everything the leadership team discusses is shared across the organization, encouraging employees to observe, question and provide feedback on how we can improve together.
Additionally, we care about providing the benefits and workplace to foster healthy, happy, productive employees. We have a robust benefit employee package, covering all employee-only benefits, to on-site snacks and team and company events. In Seattle, the Xinova workspace is open and focuses on collaboration and creativity. Teams can huddle around one of our many whiteboards or rally in a more private meeting room, whichever setting better facilitates the discussion and serves them in solving the problem at hand. Our office space in Seattle is reflected internationally, the Tokyo office not only incorporates the open workspace but recreated a red, brick wall to match the décor of our Seattle headquarters and embrace the Xinova spirit.
